As a Property
Purchaser you are entitled to a 'Pre-Settlement' inspection of the
property. These inspections are conducted with the selling agent
usually sometime within the 7 days prior to settlement.
Use the 'Pre-Settlement Checklist'
below
to help you remember which items you will need to familiarize yourself
with. Such items as 'Warranties' remaining on any of the fixtures
or fittings. 'Alarm Codes', Remotes for Garage Door, Keys for 'Window
Locks', who the current 'Utility Companies' are, what day the Garbage
is collected, how the sprinkler system operates, how the 'Stove'
operates, what 'Trades People' do they call in to repair various
items, who cleans the 'Pool', what 'Cleaner' or 'Ironing Lady' etc.
